Circa 1780's and all original, this antique buckle styled pin is a touch different from the usual. With pretty hand faceted 'gems' cut from Glass and each painted with a tiny black dot to the base to even more closely resemble Diamonds... the three cute pear shaped drops tremble quite prettily beneath the 'buckle'. One of the most ubiquitous of jewels at the time, women of all ranks wore these small pins to fasten their fichu or shawl around the shoulders. Entirely hand crafted in Silver with a Gold backing, it measures 3.5cm lengthwise and fastens with a Gold pin.
